Description:
The school is aimed at students at the beginning of their PhD programme. The school program includes:
- background information on light propagation in optical fibers;
- overview of principles and applications of optical fiber sensors, with special emphasis on the distributed ones;
- public speaking skills.
Students attending the school and presenting their final project on Friday are eligible to receive 3 ECTS.
The final project consists of a presentation of 15 minutes about a scientific paper.

Registration:
Registration is mandatory, but there is no participation fee.
Only 15 seats are available for PhD students that are not HOMTech’s doctoral candidates; these will be assigned on a “first come, first served” basis.
